French immersion courses offer the possibility of combining face-to-face lessons with real-life exchanges in authentic situations, either at the gîte during informal discussions or during outings to discover the region.
For your training, you will be able to choose a formula adapted to your objectives and your needs, and we will establish a programme together during preliminary discussions. You will be able to choose the amount of classes you want, the times and the activities that interest you.
A qualified and experienced teacher
Originally from Dijon, Burgundy, I have been teaching French as a foreign language for many years now, first abroad and then in France. In my various professional capacities, I have also worked as a developer of educational materials for students and teachers.
Thanks to these experiences, I am used to working with a broad range of students at various levels and proficiencies, whether in terms of age, nationality, level and objectives.
Wishing to continue teaching, but wanting a change of setting for both my personal and professional life, I moved to the Cévennes at the beginning of 2022 with the project of developing French immersion courses.

Your training will be tailored to your specific needs and designed to help you achieve your objectives.
Indeed, whether you come to learn French in immersion for professional reasons, for your studies or for personal reasons, specific teaching and learning strategies must be put in place. This is what we will establish together, before you come, so that we can concentrate on what will be most useful to you, or on the subjects that interest you.
As far as my teaching practice is concerned, my courses are based on the use of various authentic materials (audio, video, images and texts), many of which I create myself.
We will work on the different skills needed to acquire and master the language, while targeting what you need most.
Your accommodation
During your immersion stay, you will be accommodated in the gîte.
Two types of accommodation are available:
- Room with double or single bed, with toilet, sink and shower
- Dormitory, with toilet, sink and shower
There is also a large common room with a bar/kitchen area, a relaxation area and a mezzanine.
Finally, the gîte has a number of outdoor areas that you can enjoy to your heart’s content.
The activities
Make the most of your immersion stay by participating in sports activities (hiking, canyoning, mountain biking, etc.), cultural (museum visit, cave visit, steam train ride, etc.) or gastronomic (tasting, cellar visit, cooking workshop, etc.) in order to practice the language in real and authentic contexts, while discovering a region with magnificent landscapes and a rich and unique history.
The possibilities are vast, the choice is yours to learn French in a fun and authentic way.
The place where the stays take place
You will stay in an authentic Cevennes farmhouse, Le Cambon, in Mialet (Gard, Occitanie region), a village located between Anduze, the gateway to the Cevennes, and Saint-Jean-du-Gard, the arrival point of the Stevenson trail, a famous hiking route which crosses the region.
The gîte is located outside the village, on a vast 17-hectare plot of land over which a river (the Gardon) flows and which is covered, in its upper part, by a forest.
The gîte consists of various spaces: the bedrooms, a dormitory, a large common room, several terraces, a pizza oven, two vegetable gardens, a greenhouse, ponds, animal pens and a forest.
The ideal place to learn French in immersion, in a peaceful and studious environment!
